Toronto: Drivers had a rough time on Sunday with slippery roads from freezing rain across southern Ontario. But guess what? Things are changing fast!

A warm front is moving in, bringing some much-needed mild weather. So, any snow or ice from the weekend is about to melt away as temperatures rise above freezing.

Rain is on the way, starting in the southwest and making its way to the Greater Toronto Area by late afternoon. It’ll be a quick shower, though, wrapping up overnight.

Monday might be a bit breezy, but the winds won’t really kick in until later. Expect gusts around 40-60 km/h, nothing too wild.

Temperatures are looking great, hitting 6-8 degrees above normal. Some areas in southwestern Ontario might even see double-digit highs. That’s a nice change for mid-December!

After this warm spell, a stronger cold front is expected to roll in late next week. There’s also a system brewing over the eastern U.S. that could bring colder weather, but it’s too early to tell how it’ll affect us.

After a few chilly days, it looks like we might enjoy milder weather as we approach Christmas. The last week of December could be pretty nice, but we’re keeping an eye out for a potential cold snap in early January.

Stay tuned for updates on the weather across Ontario!
