This Morrisons branch lost the letters R, I, and S, which left it reading “Morons.” Can you imagine? Talk about a cheeky re-brand!
It was a wild weekend with winds hitting up to 144 km/h. Some folks thought it was a bit of a roast from Mother Nature.
But one passerby, Joshua Jones, had a laugh about it. He pointed out that in Welsh, “moron” actually means “carrot.” How funny is that?
He said, “I completely forgot it’s Welsh for ‘carrot.’” It’s true! The plural is “moron,” while a single carrot is “moronen.”
The staff at Morrisons are on it, working to fix the sign. Meanwhile, the weather has calmed down, and most people who lost power are back online.
