Toronto: Big news for film lovers! The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) just announced that Rogers Communications is back as their main sponsor for three more years. This deal runs through 2027, and it’s pretty exciting.

So, what does this mean? Well, Rogers will sponsor the festival and the popular People’s Choice Award. Plus, they’re teaming up with TIFF’s Studio 9 to create a new original content series. Sounds cool, right?

TIFF’s CEO, Cameron Bailey, is thrilled about this partnership. He mentioned how they share a vision of celebrating Canadian storytelling and making the 50th edition of the festival truly special this September.

Last year, Rogers stepped in as the presenting partner after TIFF ended its long relationship with Bell. Tony Staffieri, Rogers’ CEO, expressed their commitment to supporting great cinema and bringing top-notch entertainment to Canadians.

While they haven’t confirmed if this partnership will cover TIFF’s year-round activities or naming rights for their Toronto headquarters, Rogers is set to produce a TV special about the festival’s big 50th edition, airing on Citytv.

Mark your calendars! TIFF is happening from September 4 to September 14, and they’ve got plans for a whole year of celebrations for their anniversary.
