A woman was shot outside her Markham home, and police are looking for the suspect involved in this alarming incident
So, here’s what happened. Around 5:30 p.m. on January 21, a video from York Regional Police shows a man in a yellow reflective vest chatting with the woman outside her place.
Things took a turn when the woman started to head back inside. The guy suddenly pulls out a gun and shoots her from behind. After a couple of misfires, he shoots again as she tries to escape. Then, he jumps into a dark Audi and speeds off.
The woman, who actually called the cops herself, was taken to the hospital but thankfully her injuries aren’t life-threatening.
The suspect is described as an Asian male, skinny, and last seen wearing that yellow vest, a construction helmet, and a medical mask.
Police think this was a targeted attack and are urging anyone who hasn’t talked to them yet to step forward. They’re also looking for any surveillance or dashcam footage from the area during the shooting.
Interestingly, the police mentioned that the suspect and the victim didn’t know each other, and they’re still trying to figure out why this happened.
