The GTA is bracing for a serious cold snap, with temperatures dropping significantly this week. Stay warm and safe!
They’re saying we should brace ourselves for some seriously cold weather. Monday’s high is expected to be around -10°C, but with the wind, it’ll feel more like -23°C. Yikes!
Tuesday might be the coldest day of the winter, hitting a high of -12°C and feeling like -26°C with the wind chill. That’s no joke!
Things should warm up a bit by Wednesday, but it’s still going to be chilly. The weather folks remind us that frostbite can happen really fast, so keep your skin covered and stay dry.
To help folks out, Toronto has opened seven warming centres and sent out extra outreach workers to help the homeless find shelter from the cold.
If you need a warm spot, here are some of the places you can go: Cecil Community Centre, Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre, and a few others scattered around the city. Stay safe out there!
