Ontario: After a few days of snow squalls, the weekend is finally giving some areas a break. The lake-effect snow machine is taking a pause, which is a relief for many.

But don’t get too comfy just yet! Southern Ontario is starting off the weekend with some sunshine, but Sunday is looking a bit gloomy. Expect rain, and there’s even a chance of freezing rain or a mix of rain and snow. So, if you’ve got plans, keep an eye on the weather!

Saturday is your best bet for any last-minute holiday prep. Get those decorations up and finish your shopping before the rain rolls in.

As Sunday unfolds, a weak system from the U.S. will bring rain, starting in southwestern Ontario, like Windsor, in the morning. London will see showers later in the afternoon.

With temperatures bouncing around, be careful out there! Roads could get slippery with mixed precipitation, so drive safe.

After the rain, milder temperatures will sweep in, making it feel a bit like November again. But don’t get too used to it; a cold front is on its way, bringing more rain and a drop in temperatures.

Looking ahead, a stronger cold front could hit late next week, possibly bringing a shift to colder weather. We’re keeping an eye on how this might affect the region.

After a chilly spell, it seems like we might enjoy milder weather as we approach Christmas. The last week of December looks promising, but January could bring a return to the cold.

Stay tuned for more updates from The Weather Network to keep you informed about what’s happening in southern Ontario!
