Toronto: A woman tragically fell from a balcony in Toronto after having some interaction with the police. This incident happened late Wednesday night, and it’s the second time this has occurred in just ten days.

Police got a call about someone acting dangerously on a balcony near King Street W. and Spadina Avenue. Multiple people reported seeing her leaning over the railing, which is pretty alarming.

Officers tried to talk to the 34-year-old woman, but sadly, she fell just moments later. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead early the next morning. A post-mortem is set for Thursday.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first incident like this. Just on January 13, another woman, 44, fell from her balcony after police visited her apartment looking for someone. She also died after being taken to the hospital.

While both cases are tragic, there’s no evidence suggesting they are connected. Interestingly, the earlier incident took place in the same building where another woman, Regis Korchinski-Paquet, fell during a police interaction back in 2020.
