Toronto: So, winter is back in southern Ontario! After a little break, we’re seeing snow again on Wednesday, and it’s not done yet. More snow is expected overnight Thursday into Friday.

We’re looking at another round of snowfall, especially in southern and eastern Ontario. Some places, like the western Greater Toronto Area, could get an extra 3-5 cm, or even more in some spots.

Heads up for Friday morning! Commuting might be a bit of a hassle with slippery roads from the snow and some rain we had recently.

And just when you think it can’t get colder, a big drop in temperatures is on the way. We’re talking about some of the coldest air we’ve seen this season!

As the snow rolls in late Thursday night, a weather system from the Prairies is moving in, bringing all-snow conditions across southern Ontario. Expect those 3-5 cm totals to be pretty common, but the GTA might see even more thanks to Lake Ontario.

Travel plans? You might want to plan for delays on the QEW and Don Valley Parkway because of the snow.

This weekend is going to be chilly, with wind chills hitting the negative teens in the GTA and even colder in cottage country. Brr!

Next week, though, we might see a bit of a warm-up. There’s a weak system and warm front that could bring some light snow or rain around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It’s not going to be a big storm, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.

As we wrap up December, expect milder temperatures, but don’t get too comfy. January is likely to bring back the cold, so winter isn’t over yet!
