After a brief cold snap, Alberta is set to enjoy a stretch of milder temperatures
Calgary: So, Alberta’s been on this wild temperature ride lately, right? Just when you think winter’s here to stay, bam! A little snowfall, and then it’s back to milder weather.
This week, instead of freezing temps, we’re getting some nice Pacific air. It’s like a warm hug after all that cold. The forecast says we’ll be enjoying these milder days through the end of January.
It’s been a bit of a yo-yo with the temperatures. We’ve had a few cold snaps here and there, but thankfully, they’ve been short-lived. The warm-ups have been the real stars of the show.
Right now, Calgary’s daytime highs are looking pretty decent, hovering between -3 C and 3 C. That’s right around normal, so no big surprises there. But hey, it’s a nice break from the chill!
And get this: overnight lows are expected to stay above -15 C. That’s a win in my book! Edmonton’s feeling similar vibes, but it’s a tad colder there, which means they’ll see an even bigger temperature jump.
In fact, northern Alberta could see temps soaring up to 10 C above normal in the next week. How cool is that? Just a heads up, though—a cold front is coming through on Thursday, but most places should still stay above seasonal averages.
So, keep your jackets handy, but don’t put them away just yet. February might bring another chill, but for now, let’s enjoy this mild spell!
